5 Gentle reminders before birth

5 reminders before your birth

🌸 1. Your body was designed for birth
Birth is a natural process, trust that your body knows what to do and that you are capable of birthing your baby.
All you have to do is support the process and allow it to happen.

💐 2. Rest is productive
Its common to feel the urge to "nest" in the third trimester. While feeling organised can be relaxing to some, it's impprtant to prioritise rest in this time, for yiur body and your mind. Think of what relaxes you, what brings you joy - maybe a warm bath, maybe sleeping more, maybe lying in and watching tv, maybe walking out in nature. This will help you to relaz and increase your oxytocin to help bring on labour.

🌹 3. Birth has no pass or fail
Whether knowledge brings you power, or you prefer to let destiny run it's course. There is no test in childbirth and you cannot fail. Do what helps you to feel prepared and leave the rest to take its course.

🌼 4. Fear and excitement can coexist
Fear has it's place, it's what drives you to learn more, become more prepared for birth. It drives you to learn about your options, learn what emergencies can occur and when. However, fear can overrun you if you let it. Allow yourself to feel excited. Excited for pregnancy to be over, excited for labour, and excited to meet your baby. Ensure there is a balance, and seek support if there isnt.

🏵 5. Every birth is unique
No matter how many birth stories you hear, no one can tell you how your birth will unfold. Have faith, prepare as you like, and allow yourself to accept your birth journey once it occurs. You deserve to have your own story.
